Police announced a search late Thursday for a suspect identified in

the death of Ceceline Godsoe, 16, who was found in Fairview Park on Sept.

21.

Victor Manuel Garcia, 17, of Costa Mesa met Godsoe in the park during

the evening of Sept. 20, and he is now wanted in connection with her

beating death, police say.

Garcia, who also is known by the alias Victor Garduno, is described as

5-foot-8 and 195 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and a tribal

tattoo on his upper right arm.

Garcia fled his home after learning of the investigation, police say.
