Costa Mesa police are still looking for 17-year-old Victor Garcia,

whom they suspect of killing Ceceline Godsoe, 16, whose dead body was

found on a trail in Fairview Park in the early morning hours of Sept. 21.

Police believe Garcia heard about the investigation and fled his Costa

Mesa home. A no-bail juvenile warrant was issued for Garcia’s arrest

Thursday night.

Officials also said Godsoe had met Garcia at the park the night of

Sept. 20. Her body was found about 2:20 a.m. the following morning.

Police still had not made an arrest as of Monday, Sgt. Don Holford

said.

A motive has still not been determined for the crime. Godsoe died from

blunt force trauma to her head, officials said.

Anybody with information about Garcia’s whereabouts is asked to call

Det. Mike Cacho at (714) 754-5340 or the Costa Mesa Police Department at

(714) 754-5206.
