Corona del Mar High’s girls tennis team eased past host University
in Pacific Coast League action Tuesday, 17-1, to improve to 7-0, 2-0 in
the PCL.
Anne Yelsey, Brittany Holland and Leslie Damion each swept to easy
victories as they tuned up for the upcoming National High School
All-American Tournament Friday and Saturday over some five sites.
The unbeaten and No. 1-ranked Sea Kings are seeded No.1 in the
tournament, and heralded Peninsula is seeded No. 2.

Corona del Mar 17, University 1 Singles - Yelsey (CdM) def. Bjorkman, 6-2; def. Chang, 6-1; def.
Kausen, 6-1; Holland (CdM), won, 6-0, 6-0, 6-2; Damion (CdM), won, 6-4,
6-1, 6-0.
Doubles - Snyder-Mutzke (CdM) def. Aswad-Janner, 6-1; def.
Wilson-Langer, 6-1; def. Ngo-Ho, 6-1; Minna-Rubenstein (CdM), lost 4-6;
won, 6-1, 6-2; Bryan-Steele (CdM), won, 6-2, 6-2, 6-1.
