Pet of the Week
Financial hardship is occurring at the Community Animal Network
because of a lack of donations and a drop in animal adoptions since Sept.
11, said DiAnna Pfaff-Martin, founder of the network.
“Without the necessary funding being available now, we are unable to
continue our mission rescuing local animals,” Pfaff-Martin said.
This cat was found in a trash bin with kittens by a local resident,
Pfaff-Martin said. The network’s foster home program gives local people a
chance to become involved by fostering animals in their home, she said.
The network pays for all food and veterinarian needs.
The network is a community-supported animal organization linking
people and pets through community action. See other animals available for
adoption at o7 https://www.animalnetwork.orgf7 or drop by Russo’s pet
store at Fashion Island between noon and 4 p.m. on weekends.
