Newport wins

Newport Harbor’s club surfing team was a winner in a battle of

unbeatens Tuesday morning as Los Alamitos fell victim to the hosts at the

56th Street site.

Morgan Collette, Alex Knost and the Newport girls, who swept in their

division, were the pacemakers in a matchup which rode a south swell that

led to some nice barrel rides.

Newport meets Santa Margarita at the same site on Tuesday.
