Pop Warner Football: Jr. Pee Wee Green Mustangs battle Rhinos
The Costa Mesa Pop Warner Junior Pee Wee Green Mustangs put up a
hard fight, but lost to the Anaheim Rhinos, 6-0, on Saturday.
Christopher Gute led the Mustangs on offense, consistently running
strong up the middle to penetrate the Rhinos’ defense. He also had a
fumble recovery for the Mustangs (2-3).
Devin Anthony, Drew Bauer, Cody Green and Nicholos Pederson had sacks.

* South Coast Seahawks 21, Jr. Pee Wee Black Mustangs 0 - The
Mustangs’ defense was led by Josh Erno, Matt Viles, Roland Woods, Keanu
Asuega, Sebastian Osorio, Justin Adams and Joseph Galvez.
Viles, Erno, Bobby Lenke and Omar Luna had several carries for the
Mustangs. Luna recovered a fumble from the Seahawks in the first quarter
and Viles intercepeted a pass by the Seahawks’ quarterback. Lenke played
quarterback for the Mustangs to fill in for Andrew Millian, who was out
sick. Lenke made a 15-yard pass to Viles to highlight his stint at
quarterback.
