If you’re planning on eating dinner tonight anyway, restaurateurs ask

that you do it for a cause.

Seven Downtown restaurants are participating in an international

fund-raiser, the Windows of Hope Family Relief Fund.

Restaurants will donate 10% of the evenings sales to the fund for the

families of the victims of the World Trade Center tragedy who worked in

the food service profession.

Participants include Gallagher’s, Ibiza, Spiral Sushi and the

Waterfront Hilton.

Firefighters will be in the area collecting spare change in their fire

boots for the effort and Dukes, Louise’s Trattoria and Longboard’s will

also be collecting spare change.

The collection will run from 6 to 9 p.m.
