Huntington Valley Little League has announced four upcoming sign-up
dates for its 2002 season. The first registration day is Saturday from 1
to 4 p.m. at Wardlow Field, 9191 Pioneer Ave., near Magnolia Street and
Adams Avenue.
All players must bring the following items for the registration
process: original birth certificate, proof of residency -- such as
current utility bill with printed address and payment for fees due. Any
boy or girl age 5 to 16 as of July 31, who lives within the boundaries of
Huntington Valley Little League is eligible to sign up.
The costs per division are as follows: T-ball, $75; Minor A, B and
Majors, $90; Junior, $125 and Senior, $125.
Future registration dates include Nov. 17-18 and Dec. 15.

Ball commits to Pepperdine
Kelsey Ball, a senior guard/forward on the Huntington Beach High
girls’ basketball team, has committed to Pepperdine University, Coach
Ryan Bettencourt announced earlier this week. Ball averaged 14 points per
game last season.
