Settle for 33.5% and be grateful.

At the present $12 plus an hour they won’t pick up containers larger

than 32 gallons; leave a mess on the street; leave empty containers out

in the street or in front of drive ways; and drive the trucks excessively

fast and loud in the neighborhood.

They should get a grip, improve job performance and live within their

means, or go get another job that pays more and allows for poor

performance. They are lucky to be unionized.

I’ll be happy to take my trash to Rainbow.

In my opinion, the 33.5% raise is a very good one, and I believe the

workers should accept it and get back to work. There are so many

thousands of people who have been laid off and cannot find another job,

it seems selfish and thoughtless that those who have good jobs are not

counting their blessings.

They should not have made the public hostage with their refusal to

work.
