in the 3500 block at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

* Newport Boulevard: An individual was reportedly under the influence

of a controlled substance in the 1900 block at 8:58 a.m. Thursday.

* South Coast Drive: A grand theft was reported in the 900 block at

7:25 p.m. Thursday.

* West 19th Street: Possession of an open container of alcohol in a

public park was reported in the 500 block at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

* Avocado Avenue: A commercial burglary was reported in the 800 block

at 1 p.m. Friday.
