Women’s golf: Anteaters take third

The UC Irvine women’s golf team placed third with a score of 623 in

the Matador Fall Classic that concluded Tuesday at River Ridge Golf Club

in Oxnard.

Long Beach State took first with a 36-hole total of 597 and host Cal

State Northridge (615) was second out of nine teams.

Freshman Stella Lee finished third at 149 on rounds of 72-77 in the

two-day tournament. Long Beach State’s Melanie Furuta was the medalist

with a 36-hole score of 141.

UCI’s Walailak Satarak (152) took sixth and Sunny Lee (161) placed

24th. Hye-Yoon Jung and Shelly Raworth tied for 29th place with scores of

164.
