The Huntington Beach Playhouse is presenting “The Philadelphia Story.”

The comedy will be performed at 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays

and 2 p.m. Sundays through Nov. 18 at the playhouse, 7111 Talbert Ave.

Tickets are $13, $5 on student Thursdays and $11 for seniors on Thursdays

The Poetry Reading Group at Barnes and Noble will welcome Mark Bruce

and Rachel Rose as “featured poets.” There will be an open mic segment.

SUNDAYGet Involved for Mental Health will benefit from a fashion

show unveiling new fashions from Neiman Marcus. The fashion show,

beginning with a silent auction followed by a three-course luncheon, will

begin at 11 a.m. at the Waterfront Hilton Beach Resort, 21100 Pacific

Coast Hwy. Proceeds from the event will be divided among Get Involved,

the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill in Orange County and the

Mental Health Assn. of Orange County.
