Women’s volleyball: UCI downed by Titans

The UC Irvine women’s volleyball team came close to earning its

second Big West Conference victory of the season, but fell short in a

26-30, 34-32, 31-29, 21-30, 18-16 loss to host Cal State Fullerton

Saturday.

Kelly Wing had a match-high 24 kills and Chanda McLeod had 22 to lead

the Anteaters (3-16, 1-10 in conference).

Ashlie Hain contributed to UCI’s effort with 72 assists. The Anteaters

were coming off their first conference victory of the season over UC

Riverside on Friday.

Katie Crawford had 22 kills and Kim Levey had 61 assists to lead Cal

State Fullerton (8-12, 4-9).
