Women’s basketball: OCC wins in consolation

Kyra Melville scored 18 points to help Orange Coast College earn a

74-57 victory over Hancock in the consolation championship of the Chaffey

women’s basketball tournament Sunday.

Lindsey Galasso contributed 18 points for the Pirates, who went on a

15-0 run early in the game to take a 37-26 lead at halftime. The Pirates

made 18 of 22 free-throw attempts and Melville made the all-tournament

team.

Chrissy Ridenour led Hancock with 24 points.
