The Daily Pilot went to Harbor View Elementary School in Newport Beach

and asked fourth-graders, “What are you doing for Thanksgiving?”

‘Having a small party at my house. There will be about 10 of us: me,

my grandma, aunt, my mom. We’re going to eat and most likely watch

football.’

Paige Garcia, 9

Newport Beach

‘Having something small with my immediate family, probably at our

house, and eat bread.’

Kelsey Davis, 9

Newport Beach

‘Have a small party at my house with my grandma, grandpa, mom and dad.

My mom is cooking.’

Malayna Kelley, 9

Newport Beach

‘I’m doing something big -- flying to Oregon to see my mom’s side of

the family. We’re going to stay in nanna’s old house by the river.’

Ryan Rolfes, 9

Newport Beach

‘I’m going to my grandma’s house. She lives in Newport Beach. She’s

doing the cooking, but some other family members might cook, like my mom

and aunt. We might celebrate my birthday too; it’s on Friday the 23rd.’

Josh Thal, 9
