Newport Beach advertising firm Lawrence & Ponder Ideaworks won seven

awards for its efforts in health-care communications at a recent awards

conference.

The firm won four gold awards and three silver awards at the Golden

Advocate Awards, sponsored by the Healthcare Public Relations & Marketing

Assn. of Southern California.

Clients such as the Second Harvest Food Bank, Tenet HealthSystem, the

California Department of Health Services Latino 5 a Day television

campaign, the AIDS Walk Orange County campaign and direct mailer Health

Allies helped the firm win the seven awards.

The firm has won more than 362 of the awards in the past decade.

Lawrence & Ponder Ideaworks was formerly Lawrence, Mayo & Ponder.

It was founded in 1991, and provides strategic, branding, ideation and

creative services for clients in a variety of industries.
