I’m thankful for . . .

Five years ago, my life changed forever. I had a stroke and three

heart attacks caused by Churg Strauss Syndrome, a rare vascular disease.

I will never forget that day.

I want to thank all of you, my family, my friends, my speech

therapists and Coastline College, my teachers, fellow students and staff

for your abundant and continued support, encouragement and kindness.

You helped me get back on my feet when others thought I couldn’t. Your

prayers give me strength and hope every day. In May, 1996, things looked

bleak, but all of you gave me the strength and courage to pull through

and survive.

This has confirmed my faith that there are good people in the world

with caring and generous hearts. I feel surrounded by love, and I am

truly blessed.
