Girls basketball: Eagles fall

Estancia High lost its season opener to visiting Huntington Beach,

54-37, in a nonleague girls basketball game Tuesday.

The Oilers went on a 17-7 run to start the game and never looked back.

Tisha Gray scored 12 points and Georgina John had eight to lead the

Eagles (0-1). Huntington Beach’s Kelsey Ball led all scorers with 20

points.
