Boys basketball: Young leads Eagles to win

COSTA MESA - The Estancia High boys basketball team opened its

season with a 71-57 nonleague victory over visiting Santa Ana Wednesday

night.

The Eagles received a huge lift from senior Micah Young, who scored a

game-high 26 points, while junior Joey Lindquist (14) and senior Fernando

Maldonado (11) also notched double digits. Senior Jorge Prado added nine

points for Estancia (1-0).
