Girls water polo: CdM opens with bang

CORONA DEL MAR - The Corona del Mar High girls water polo team

opened its season with a 15-1 nonleague win over visiting El Modena

Wednesday.

Juniors Brittney Bowlus and Christina Hewko led the Sea Kings with

four goals each, while juniors Daniela DiGiacomo and Danielle Carlson

notched three each and sophomore Katya Eadington added one.

The Sea Kings will return to action Wednesday at 3 p.m., when they

host Peninsula.
