Girls basketball: Mesa eighth

Rhondi Naff scored 13 points to lead Costa Mesa High, but the

Mustangs fell to Norwalk-based Glenn, 53-45, in a game for seventh place

at the Bellflower Girls Basketball Tournament Saturday.

The Mustangs (1-3) trailed, 29-26, at halftime, but Glenn went on a

15-6 run in the third quarter to pull away. Stacee Sanchez had 11 points

and five rebounds for Costa Mesa. Eileen Bello chipped in with eight

assists. Glenn improves to 2-2.
