OCC women win

Orange Coast College was an 82-55 winner in women’s basketball

Saturday as the Pirates ran their record to 8-2 with a third-place

victory over Grossmont in the Cuesta Tournament at San Luis Obispo.

Nicole Grady led the way for Coast with 16 points, and teammates

Lindsey Galasso (13), Nancy Hatsushi (12) and Liz Mendoza (11) were in

double figures.

Hatsushi hit 4 of 7 from three-point territory, and Galasso nailed

half of her six perimeter attempts. Hatsushi also had six assists.

Galasso was 8 for 11 from the field and had 13 rebounds.
