WEATHER FORECAST

Clouds will make their presence known throughout the day today, though

we should be out of the woods when it comes to rain. Highs may barely

strike 60 degrees this afternoon while the lows drop into the mid-40s in

Newport-Mesa.

Conditions will warm up a bit on Wednesday, when mostly sunny skies

will bring about temperatures in the mid-60s.

BOATING FORECAST

The northwesterly winds will blow 5 to 15 knots this afternoon in the

inner waters, with waves of 2 feet and a west swell of 5 to 10 feet.

Later, the winds will become northeasterly, blowing 10 to 15 knots, with

a west swell of about 3 to 5 feet.

Out farther, the strong northwesterly winds will blow 10 to 20 knots,

with waves of 2 to 4 feet and a northwest swell of 12 to 16 feet. Later,

the the winds will increase to 15 to 25 knots, though the swell will

subside to about 10 knots.

SURF

Conditions today should be quite similar to those found Monday, with

waves in the chest- to head-high range. They’ll begin to subside this

afternoon and will continue to do so throughout the week.
