Boys basketball: CdM loses to Edison

Kevin Mancillas scored 13 points to lead Corona del Mar, but the

Sea Kings lost, 74-53, to Edison in the first round of the La Quinta boys

basketball tournament Monday.

Pancho Seaborn chipped in with 10 points and Ryan Inman contributed

with seven points and six rebounds.

The Sea Kings trailed, 21-13, after the first quarter and came within

four points in the second. Edison pulled away to take a 37-25 halftime

lead and scored the first eight points of the third quarter.

Corona del mar plays in the tournament again today at 6:30 p.m.
