WEATHER FORECAST

Similar to Tuesday, the skies will be mostly sunny today with highs in

the low 60s in Newport-Mesa. With no clouds to warm things up, overnight

lows will drop into the high 40s.

On Thursday, though, temperatures will really heat up on another sunny

day, eventually topping off in the high 60s. Could it be considered a

heat wave? Probably, since highs will approach the mid-70s come Friday.

BOATING FORECAST

Winds will be light in the inner waters today, blowing about 10 knots

and generating waves of about a foot and a west swell of 3 to 5 feet. Not

much will change at night.

Out farther, however, a small craft advisory will go into effect as

northwesterly winds blow 15 to 20 knots tonight, with waves of 2 to 3

feet and a northwest swell of 10 feet.

SURF

Waves should be in the waist- to chest-high range today, but will

continue to decrease into Thursday before picking up slightly on Friday.
