WEATHER FORECAST
The high just might hit 70 in Costa Mesa on this very sunny, but
slightly breezy Thursday. Newport Beach will feel slightly cooler
temperatures and encounter similar breezes. Overnight, the low will drop
to about 50 in both cities.
On Friday, the mini heat wave arrives in the form of readings in the
mid-70s. Get those shorts back out, if only for a day or two. Just make
sure to back them up with evening pants. Expect even warmer temperatures
on Saturday before returning to normal on Sunday.

BOATING FORECAST
Northerly winds will become northeasterly in the inner waters this
afternoon, blowing a typical 10 to 15 knots, with waves of 2 feet and a
west swell of 4 feet. Similar conditions will be encountered tonight.
Out farther, northerly winds will blow 15 knots, with 2-foot waves and
a northwest swell of 6 to 8 feet throughout the day.
SURF
Waves will be in the knee- to waist-high range with the occasional
chest-high today. Conditions should bump a bit Friday and Saturday before
dropping again Sunday.
