Boys basketball: Sage Hill falls

Sage Hill High’s Mike Fitzhugh had 13 points, nine rebounds and six

assists, but the Lightning could not overcome Tarbut V’ Torah and lost,

54-44, in pool play of the Tarbut V’ Torah boys basketball classic

Tuesday.

The Lions went on a 17-9 run to open the game, but Sage Hill (0-3)

battled back to come within three points with three minutes left in the

game.

Tarbut V’ Torah (5-1) held its ground and made nine of 10

three-pointers in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.

Contributing on offense for Sage Hill were Kevin Joyce (11 points),

Matt Loper (eight points), Scott Cho (six points, eight rebounds) and

Cliff Swanson (six points).

The Lightning will face Liberty Christian today at 4 p.m. in pool play

of the Tarbut V’ Torah Classic.
