Girls water polo: Saddleback tops Eagles
COSTA MESA - Estancia High scored twice as many goals as Saddleback
the final three quarters, but it wasn’t enough to avert a 9-6 nonleague
girls water polo loss to the Roadrunners Wednesday.
Senior Diana Kopasek led the Eagles (3-3) with three goals, while
Laura Morton had 14 saves.
Saddleback’s Clarissa Garcia scored six of her game-high seven goals
in the first period, when the visitors assumed an insurmountable 7-2
lead.
Estancia defeated Pacifica, 17-16, in a nonleague home game Tuesday,
when senior twin sisters Jasmine and Hanni Geider scored four goals
apiece.
Estancia visits Santa Ana Friday.
