Detectives are continuing to search for answers to what killed a

Huntington Beach man lying dead in front of a car Tuesday morning.

Huntington Beach Police officers found 31-year-old David Hayes lying

beside a white 1989 Chevrolet Corsica in the 5200 block of Bolsa Avenue

just after 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, said Lt. Bill Peterson.

Detectives were called out and conducted interviews, but do not

suspect foul play at this time, he said.

The Orange County District Attorney and the police department’s crime

unit are continuing an investigation.
