CdM drops 62-59 decision

Bret Matsen’s three-point shot to tie it with just seconds left was

negated by a foul before the shot and Corona del Mar High’s Sea Kings

eventually found themselves 62-59 losers to Norte Vista in the Estancia

Coast Classic Friday, dropping CdM (3-11) into today’s consolation game

against La Quinta at 9 a.m.

The Sea Kings led by 18 at halftime, but fizzled against Norte Vista’s

zone in the second half. Norte Vista outscored CdM, 25-8, in the final

quarter as the Sea Kings made just one field goal.
