Community college men’s basketball: OCC men triumph in double OT
SAN JOSE - The Orange Coast College men’s basketball team outscored
Centralia of Washington, 13-9, in the second overtime to claim an 89-85
victory in the consolation championship of the San City College Holiday
Tournament Saturday.
OCC sophomore guard Ryan Webster, who scored a game-high 27 points,
nailed one of his five three-pointers in the closing moments of the first
overtime for a 76-76 tie. Stephon Seales, an OCC freshman guard, added 24
points and recorded seven steals to earn all-tournament laurels, while
sophomore center Mark Meyers contributed 13 points, 10 rebounds and three
blocked shots.
Freshman Wyshawn Wade also scored in double figures, providing 11
points for the Pirates (3-11).
