Girls basketball: CdM snubbed, 61-47
GARDEN GROVE - The Corona del Mar High girls basketball team hung
with El Modena through two quarters, but lost, 61-47, in pool play of the
Santiago Tournament at Santiago High Thursday.
CdM senior Andrea Gruber led the Sea Kings (4-9) with 13 points, while juniors Kelliann Klein (12 points) and Madison Otterbein (11) also posted
double figures.
The Sea Kings trailed 27-23 at halftime but were then outscored 18-11
in the third quarter and could not recover.
CdM will resume pool play today at 3:30 against Los Amigos.
