Surf and Sun
WEATHER FORECAST
It originally appeared as though today would provide a beautiful,
mostly sunny afternoon, but it’s now looking mostly partly sunny with
highs in the high 60s and low 70s at best. Lows, meanwhile, will dip into
the mid-50s.
Thursday, though, looks to be mostly sunny with highs in the low to
mid-70s so far.

BOATING FORECAST
While the westerly winds will blow their typical 10 to 15 knots in the
inner waters today, with 2-foot waves, the swell will be something to
monitor. The west swell of 9 to 13 feet will be enough to warrant a
small-craft advisory today. Later, the swell will build to 10 to 12 feet.
Areas of fog may develop late.
Out farther, the northwesterly winds will blow 15 to 25 knots, with
waves of 2 to 4 feet. The west swell, however, will be in the 14- to
18-foot range, also resulting in a small-craft advisory. Fog will roll in
late.
SURF
While the waves looked great Tuesday, they should look even better and
larger today. Much of the morning’s surf will hit the overhead range,
though the standout spots can expect many double overheads. Down in San
Diego County, some triple overheads will pop up.
