Retailer hires Newport Beach managing firm

A retailer of fine contemporary home furniture, accessories and design

services has selected a Newport Beach-based marketing and communications

company to handle the retailer’s special events and public relations

programs.

Cantoni Inc., headquartered in Dallas, has selected Madeline Zuckerman

Public Relations & Marketing Inc. to handle its public relations and

marketing for its Southern California location in Irvine.

The newest Cantoni showroom opened in March 2000 and features a

25,000-square-foot showroom and a 17,000-square-foot warehouse.

Madeline Zuckerman Public Relations & Marketing Inc. was founded in

1978 and provides mass communication and marketing programs for

industries including food service, medical, financial, home furnishings,

retail and real estate.

Its offices are at 5020 Campus Drive, Newport Beach.

Fieldstone posts record year for homes sold

Newport Beach-based Fieldstone Communities Inc. had a record year in

2001.

The residential real estate company set a company record in the number

of homes sold, 721, and in sales revenue of about $260 million.

Fieldstone sold 276 homes in Orange County, 267 homes in San Diego and

178 homes in Utah.

Being selective in where it chose to build homes and building homes in

the price range of $300,000 to $500,000 were two reasons that contributed

to the company’s success, said Frank Foster, president and chief

executive of Fieldstone Communities Inc.

The Fieldstone Group of Cos., which includes Fieldstone Communities

Inc., is headquartered in Newport Beach and has offices in San Diego and

Midvale, Utah. It has garnered a series of prestigious honors for its

emphasis on strategic business practices, customer service and home

designs.

Since 1981, the Fieldstone Group of Cos. has built more than 16,000

homes and has made $3.6 billion in total revenue.

Recently, it was awarded the Best Practices Strategic Leadership Award

by Arthur Andersen and has won National Builder of the Year and

California Builder of the Year awards.
