No Fear wins Mite Club title

Kourtney Kunichika scored at the 1:11 mark of the third period to lift

No Fear past Crunch, 7-6, in the championship game of the Mite Club

Division.

Kunichika also opened the scoring for No Fear with a first period

goal, scored again in the second period and also had three consecutive

assists in the same frame.

Joseph Burkhardt also had a standout game with three goals and a pair

of assists. Rocco Grimaldi scored two goals and Brandon Prince and Jeremy

Jennings also scored once.

Matt Braun posted three goals to lead Crunch. David Marabella scored

once with two assists, Adam Bosch, Brad Brandenburg and Travis Benson all

scored once and Keith Dickson had an assist.

PEE WEE CLUB

Elmos 7, Thrashers 1

Rhett Rakhshani netted four goals, Jason Krispel scored twice, Kenny

Gibo scored once, Jonathan Gibo had two assists and Bryan Sakaguchi,

Tommy Tartaglione and Brett Yamaoka each had one assist to lead the

Elmos.

Tartaglione also had 30 saves in limiting the Thrashers to a single

goal by Danny Gandasetiawan.

Jason Gutierrez managed 32 saves for the Thrashers.

SMYTHE DIVISION

Jets 4, Hawks 1

Kyle Morrill recorded 15 saves and wasn’t scored upon until the third

period, Craig Landon had a pair of goals, Alex Borcich and Brendan

Ketcham each scored once, and Ketcham and Dmitri Sedykin each had one

assist to power the Jets.

Bijan Nafison scored the lone goal for the Hawks.

HOWE DIVISION

Avalanche 4, Bandits 3

The Avalanche outscored the Bandits, 2-0, in the final period to post

the come-from-behind victory.

David Marabella scored the second of his team-best two goals in the

decisive period and Kyle Anfang scored the game winning goal in the same

period.

Josh Wright also scored and Brad Brandenburg had 16 saves for the Avalanche.

The Bandits received a pair of goals from Tom Moore, one from Greg

Weaver and 22 saves from Jayrd Mason.

JR. HIGH DIVISION

Mariners 7, Oilers 5

Three goals went to Kevin Lachman, Sam Robinson scored twice and

picked up an assist, Peter Ryan scored once and had three assists, Chad

Ramsey scored once and Broc Fournier recorded 31 saves to lead the

Mariners.

Cameron Cepek scored twice and had an assist, Brett Young scored once

and had two assists, Cody Levesque scored twice, Chase Chodzko added an

assist and Cameron Monahan and Phil Vournazos combined for 23 saves to

lead the Oilers.
