CORONA DEL MAR - Corona del Mar High senior Billy Eagle has

verbally committed to play baseball at UCLA, Sea Kings Coach John Emme

said.

Eagle, a two-time All-CIF Southern Section Division IV performer and a

three-year starting center fielder for the Sea Kings, hit .472 with 42

hits, six home runs, 23 RBIs, 10 doubles, 25 runs and 11 stolen bases as

a junior.

A two-time Newport-Mesa District Player of the Year, Eagle was

first-team All-CIF last season, after earning second-team recognition as

a sophomore.

He was also named Co-MVP of the Pacific Coast League last season.

As a freshman, Eagle, a sterling defensive player, helped the Sea
