Sailors roll, 11-0

NEWPORT BEACH - Newport Harbor High’s girls water polo team

continued its domination of Sea View League competition Wednesday with an

11-0 victory over visiting Irvine.

The Sailors, now 13-4, 2-0 in the Sea View, were led by the scoring of

Katherine Belden and Jessica Bell, who scored four and three goals,

respectively.

Adding solo shots were Jenna Murphy, Annie Wight, Paige Lansing and

Amber Braly.

Leach Grocki had nine saves to claim the shutout.

The junior varsity rolled, 13-1, with Carolyn Conway pacing the

victory with five goals.

The frosh-soph team was a 14-2 winner, led by Amada Barto and Jessie

Womble, who scored four and three goals, respectively.
