Boys basketball: Eagles fall, 65-48

LAGUNA BEACH - The Estancia High boys basketball team was

outscored, 14-3, in the third quarter and could not recover in a 65-48

Pacific Coast League loss to host Laguna Beach Friday.

Senior Fernando Maldonado led the Eagles (11-9, 2-2 in the PCL) with

12 points, while senior Jorge Prado chipped in 11 points and junior Lewis

Bradshaw came off the bench to add 10 points.

Laguna Beach improved to 6-10, 2-2.

“We were out of sync all night, because (the Artists) played well

defensively,” Estancia Coach Chris Sorce said. “Lewis Bradshaw had a

great game for us, coming off the bench.”
