Golden West College’s women’s softball team is putting on a youth
softball clinic from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. The cost is $15 per child
and the clinic will be held at the school softball field located near the

Pop Warner football seeks coaches
Huntington Beach Pop Warner Football is seeking potential head
coaches, offensive and defensive coordinators and assistant coaches for
the Fall 2002 season. Experience in the fundamentals and competitive
football is essential. The league also encourages former Edison High

Shim winds tennis club tournament
In a battle between two Huntington Beach residents, Casey Shim battled
back to defeat Dick Gaston in three sets, with Gaston retiring in the
third set, 1-6, 7-6, 3-2, in the Division B title match of the Huntington
Valley Tennis Club’s Two For Sure singles tournament.
The Division A winner for the third year in a row was Joe Schartman of
Yorba Linda. Schartman defeated Anaheim’s Bob Kienast in the division
final.
