do and why is there a holiday remembering him?’

‘He spoke his mind on what he felt was fair. He didn’t like the fact

that people were treated differently because they were a different race.

He changed the fact that people were being rude to the others that

weren’t the same as them.’

‘He made important speeches for blacks and whites to play together and

be in the same bus to sit wherever they want. He wanted everyone to be

equal and fair and made everything change for us. People could play

together no matter what race they were.’

‘Made blacks equal to whites because he didn’t like how whites were

treating the blacks. It was a really good thing to do. Everyone should be

treated equally.’

‘Made everybody equal even if colored or white. He told people

feelings about how he felt and what was right.’

‘He told thoughts that everyone should not be mistreated and that no

one should be the boss of anyone else to tell them what they should do.

He taught me a lesson to speak my mind and be fair to others. I really

respect him.’
