WHAT HAPPENED:

The board awarded trade contracts to Hayward Baker Inc. and The

Griffith Company for the four middle school gymnasium/auditorium

projects.

WHAT IT MEANS:

Hayward Baker Inc. will do the site remediation and stone column

foundation work. The Griffith Company was awarded the bid for demolition,

site cleaning, earthwork and paving.

Landscape plans were presented to the board of trustees on Nov. 20 and

project cost estimates were discussed at a board study session on Dec.

11, the same day the board authorized the bidding of multiple trade

contracts.

It was requested that Supt. James Tarwater recommend to the board of

trustees to approve the contracts and award bids to the lowest responsive

and responsible bidders as listed on the documents provided under

separate cover and available for public perusal at the purchasing

department office.

Document information was made available for public perusal at the

district’s purchasing department office early Tuesday, the same day as

the board meeting.

Additional bids for 19 trade contracts were also received on Tuesday.
