Orthopedic firms combine in Newport Beach

Two longtime Orange County orthopedic practices have combined to form

one institute dedicated to musculoskeletal care.

The Newport Orthopedic Surgery Medical Group, established in 1970, and

the South Coast Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, founded in 1982, have

combined to form the Newport Musculoskeletal Institute.

The institute is comprised of 12 physicians that include 10 orthopedic

surgeons, a physiatrist, a podiatrist and a staff of 75 professionals.

Services cover conservative and surgical treatment of general

orthopedics, foot and ankle surgery, hand and upper extremity surgery,

joint replacement surgery, arthroscopic surgery, spinal surgery and

physical and sports medicine. All physicians are board certified and have

staff privileges at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach.

The institute has offices in Newport Beach, Irvine and Huntington

Beach.
