HB Silver blanks North Irvine

The HB Silver rolled to victory Sunday during the third weekend of the

AYSO Under-12 boys’ All-Star play as they overpowered North Irvine, 4-0.

Jacob Sobelman opened the scoring in the first period when he took a

pass from Ri Hansler and knocked it into the net, and the two switched

roles later in the half when a Sobelman assist led to a Hansler goal.

In the third period Matt Weaver scored off a sharp pass from Nick

Constantini and Sammy Captan’s goal in the fourth quarter -- set up by

another Sobelman assist -- closed out the scoring.

Clayton Brown, Chaz Haffke, Bradley Hansen, Borna Khavari, Ryan

McNerney, Steven Moore, Cary Pollard, Kevin Wills and Eric Woodworth also

contributed to the victory.
