audition for the School of American Ballet’s Summer Course from 1 to 5

p.m. Saturday at the Jimmie DeFore Dance Center, 151 Kalmus Ave., Suite

G3, Costa Mesa. Students must register an hour before the audition. $15.

3. Orchids galore will be found at the final day of a four-day orchid

festival that began Thursday and runs from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sunday on

all three levels of Crate & Barrel and Macy’s Home wing at South Coast

Plaza, 3333 Bear St. Free. About 100,000 visitors are expected to attend.
