Youth baseball: Opening day approaches

The Costa Mesa National Little League opening ceremonies will begin

at 11 a.m. March 2.

In opening day games for the Majors, the Dodgers take on the D’Backs

(National Field, 8 a.m.), the Astros face the Cardinals (National Field 1

p.m.), and the Marlins battle AM#1 (American Field, time to be

determined).

In Minor A competition, the Marlins play the Astros (National Field, 8

a.m.), the Dodgers challenge the Cards (National Field, 1 p.m.), and AM#1

faces the D’Backs (American Field, time to be determined).

In Minor B action, the D’Backs take on the Dodgers (National Field, 8

a.m.), the Marlins battle the Astros (National Field, 1 p.m.) and AM#1 faces the Cardinals (American Field, 3 p.m.).
