Kids can learn to cook at Dish Cooking School’s new Future Chef
Series, for children between 10 and 14. The three-week series is at 2
p.m. March 2, 9 and 16. The classes will cover three cuisines: week one
is French cooking -- kids will make little stuffed vegetables, a
Provencal tomato tart and poached pears with chocolate sauce; week two is
Italian cooking -- the menu consists of chicken Parmesan, crostini with
goat cheese and thyme roasted tomato and cheese ravioli with tomato
sauce; week three is Mexican cooking -- the menu is Fideo (Mexican
spaghetti), chicken tamales and sweet corn cake. The instructors will
teach kids basic knife skills, weights and measures, and reading and

putting enlarged pictures of volunteers in their wedding gowns. “It will
probably be the prettiest and most fun window you’ve ever seen,” Godfrey
