Electronics agency marks one year in Newport

Edge Electronics Inc. celebrated the one-year anniversary of its West

Coast Divisional Sales Office on Feb. 7 in Newport Beach.

The office is at 1101 Dove St. and is led by Gloria Chavez, the second

woman to head an Edge Electronics regional sales office.

The Plato, Texas-based Alcatel USA, the world’s largest manufacturer

of telecommunications products, mentors Edge.

Edge offers products that include audio and video equipment, crystals,

connectors, amplifiers, memory products, transformers and other circuits.

The company offers services such as custom cables, lead forming,

programming, tape and reel and inventory control programs.

Edge was named one of the top 100 diversity owned businesses in New

York byo7 Div2000.comf7 . Its corporate offices are in Bohemia, N.Y.,

and it has four regional offices.
