Avalanche records 7-5 win

David Marabella netted a division-best five goals last weekend to

power the Avalanche to a 7-5 Howe Division victory over The Good Team.

The win also featured a goal and three assists by Martin DeJong, a

goal and assist by Chris Snapper, an assist by Josh Wright and 34 saves

by Michael Mowrey.

Eric Morejon posted three goals for The Good Team, Bryan Van Arsdale

and Nicholas Capriccio each scored once, A.J. Trentini had two assists,

Tyler Bales and Justin Romers each had an assist and Brent Holden had 19

saves.

In other games:

Team to Beat 6, Hornets 2

A five-goal outburst in the second period propelled the Team to Beat

to victory. The scoring onslaught featured goals by Blake Cooper and Eric

Grant before Jacob Hill scored the next two.

Cooper closed out the scoring in the period, then added his third goal

of the game in the third period.

Hill and Grant also had an assist, as did Ricky Weston, Andrew Hayashi

and Chad Millar.

James Dufour had 17 saves.

The Hornets’ scoring consisted of goals by Jeff Fuzzard and Cody

Charnell and two assists by Zachary Charnell and one assist by Brett

Shaver.

Klaus Halvorson had 24 saves.

T-Blades 2, Predators 0

John Fortner and Luke Gane scored, Bryan Marony and Joshua Gane each

had an assist and James Dufour recorded a shutout with an incredible 41

saves to lead the T-Blades.

The Predators’ Tyler Post also had a big game in the net with 34

saves.

Hawks 6, Roller Rebels 5

Jonathan Almaraz scored three goals, Bryan Bennett scored once with an

assist, Samantha Aker and Brandon Cantu each scored once and Amy Zappen

had 24 saves to lead the Hawks.

Cameron Weiss scored twice, Stephanie McKnight, Darren Koontz and

Tyler Olsen each scored once and Brian Potter had 26 saves for the Roller

Rebels.

Blackhawks 6, Crocodiles 6

The tie featured two goals and an assist by the Blackhawks’ Kyle

Anfang and three goals and an assist by the Crocodiles’ Austin Shannon.

Completing the scoring for the Blackhawks was Chris Nicholls with a

goal and assist, and Ethan Nicholls and Conner Parks each scored once.

Eric Stoner scored twice for the Crocodiles, Anthony Biegel had a goal

and an assist, Michael Inouye and Bronson Maybrier each had an assist and

Spencer Layman recorded 31 saves.
