H.B. United tops the field

The H.B. United, a boys’ Under-10 Division Gold All-star team out of

Region 56, won two games over the weekend and captured the division

championship at the AYSO Area 11-K tournament playoffs.

H.B. United will represent the area in this month’s regional play.

They first defeated Region 517, 7-1. Dylan Simmons, who scored the

match’s first goal, went on to lead all scorers with three goals. J.B.

Bryant scored twice, Jake Jordan and Ben Hunt each scored once and Tyler

Smith picked up an assist.

In the second game, H.B. United shut out Region 5, 2-0, with Simmons

scoring both goals, one each in the first and fourth quarters.

Cameron McArthur and Smith shared goal-tending duties and surrendered

one goal in the two games.
