ROLLING HILLS ESTATES - Corona del Mar High’s boys tennis team

remains unbeaten today as it prepares for Thursday’s road engagement with

highly regarded Brentwood following Monday’s 11-7 nonleague victory at

Peninsula High.

The Sea Kings, who improved to 5-0 with the decision, were without

Carsten Ball (injury) and Wesley Miller (flu) and found themselves

calling on some figures within the depth of the talent pool.

Freshman standout Nick Gingold came through with a big victory in No.

2 singles, taking a 7-6 victory with a 7-5 tiebreaker. In that

tiebreaker, he was down, 0-5.

And the No. 3 doubles team of Brennan Roberts and Bryan Warsaw came

through with two big wins, the first a 7-6 win with a 7-2 edge in the

tiebreaker, and a 7-5 verdict.

“They ran off three great points in a row in the tiebreaker,” said CdM

Coach Tim Mang.

Peninsula fell to 4-2.
